David Bailey - Hitler Killed the Duck
David Bailey has a new exhibition at the Scream Gallery in Mayfair London, it looks like a very interesting collection of work that plays off his childhood memories. Bailey is a big influence of mine, he is the photographer that made me understand what I loved about photography. I will definitely be heading down to see this exhibition which runs until the 12th of November, check out his interview with i-D talking about it here.

BP Portrait Award 2011
I recently went to the National Portrait Gallery and had a look at the BP Portrait award, it was refreshing for me to see a range of painted portraits as it isn't something I have looked into in great detail before. Looking at detail that the artists are able to capture is mind blowing, some were amazingly realistic in the detail that they show. The two portraits above stood out to me the most, the left is Venus as a boy by Wen Wu and the right is Latoya by Alan Coulson. For more info check the NPG's site here.
Both Images are scanned postcards, all copyrights belong to the artists.
